Hot Flushes - Chemotherapy
Hot flushes result from changes in hormonal level. Chemotherapy for Breast Cancer (tamoxifen/Nolvadex) and for Prostate Cancer (Lupron) are particularly difficult to treat. They become so bad, that a very significant fraction of patients being treated discontinue the therapy. This is despite strong evidence that the chemotherapy reduces cancer recurrence and extends life expectancy.
Medical acupuncture works in a majority of people who suffer from chemotherapy caused hot flushes.
For most people, treatment as outlined under “Menstrual
Disorders” is very effective. If not, I have three other approaches that work in the more refractory cases. They all start with French Auricular Medicine – then follow different acupuncture paradigms.
